Windows Pro is a better choice than Windows Home. i7 & i9 Macs work better than i5s (all things being equal).ĭedicated graphics cards, SSDs, i7 or equivalent. Newer ones with more RAM and SSDs will work better than older ones. Yes, but dedicated graphics cards are strongly recommended for when you have more than the three regular displays. The Mac Studio would be a great machine for Pro7, if you do more than the basics. The M1 Pro is only available in MacBook Pro format, so one of those is the built-in screen, so if you want to have a control screen, audience screen, and stage screen without using external hardware (like that from BlackMagic), that's the minimum current Mac that will do it. The advantage of the M1 Pro, Max, and Ultra chips is that they can support 3, 5, and 5 displays (respectively). I HAVE regretted buying enough because enough, too quickly became ALMOST enough. That said, I've NEVER regretted over buying. And same error is coming Can you confirm you have the most updated ProPresenter 7 - current. Yes!! In fact, depending on what you're doing, some of them might be over-kill. TechExpertTZ, Apple Mac, MacOS, iOS Expert replied 7 months ago. They should run Pro7.4 and later when they ship. On April 20, 2021, Apple announced M1 iMacs. With Pro7.5, NDI is native to Apple Silicon Macs. They CAN'T use eGPUs as of today, but they CAN use decklink cards, like the Decklink Duo2 with a thunderbolt 3 enclosure because they're not technically eGPUs.Īs of this writing, NDI is only working in Rosetta.
Requires macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later. You can select any of the stage layouts that have been created in ProPresenter or follow the layout that is active in ProPresenter. Yes, but as of January 2021, all of them are limited to two displays: the built in one and one other (in the case of the Air and Pro) or an HDMI and thunderbolt 3 display. ProPresenter Stage provides a convenient way to view the ProPresenter stage display from anywhere on the local network. They are still limited to two displays total (including the built in one), so you have to use BMD hardware (or other means) to connect more than that. Once released, the M2 Air and MBP should run Pro7 just as well as the M1 versions (and probably better). This post, which I'll try to keep updated is to answer that question: I keep getting questions over in the ProPresenter Users' Group about what computers can run ProPresenter. I've seen some ones but those are Windows only so they don't fit the bill. UNSTINCER USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter.Plugable USB 3.0 or USB C to HDMI Adapter for Dual Monitors. So my question is this įor our setup which is the best USBA-to-HDMI Adapter that is compatible with M1 and Big Sur? I came across the adapters listed below but I haven't seen anyone speak of M1 and Big Sur in terms of compatibility. So we are looking to switch from a USBA-to-VGA adapter to HDMI, preferably a dual HDMI adapter not only to increase the resolution but also to reduce conversions and splitters.
I figured maybe it's because the M1 Mac Mini is wired to use only the USBC or HDMI ports as the main displays and now maybe Big Sur was confused with which signal should go where.

We have a USBA-to-VGA serving as the 3rd display for the Confidence Monitor (Stage Display) - the actual monitor is a Samsung Series 8 SmartTV.

1 USBC port is taken up by the mac mini display (main monitor). We run PP6 on an M1 Mac Mini running macOS Big Sur at our church. Forgive me for the long text but this is necessary.
